On Tuesday, November 4th, LBMS teachers spent the whole day with Mr. Andrew Kinney, who talked about the MAX way of teaching. In your own words, what 3 things did you come away with from that seminar that you plan to try in your own classroom?

I will definately use more anticipation guides for formative assessment. I like the idea of just using it for vocabulary words and not necessarily concepts....Also, I will try stump the teacher (the kids would love that) and the technique for writing summaries.
Inspect what you expect. I love that phrase. I also appreciated that most of the suggestions could easily be translated to math. Listening to someone who is in the teaching field makes all the difference!
